As a teacher, I was given periodic evaluations by my direct supervisor. Per each category, I could be one of four ratings: ineffective, minimally effective, effective, and highly effective.

 

A highly effective teacher understands the invisible traumas that exist in the classroom. A highly effective teacher meets each student where they are. A highly effective teacher teaches students how to learn, not memorize. A highly effective teacher gets to know the human who sits at the seat attached to the desk.
